Human Trafficking, which is the most common form of modern day slavery, remains one of the fastest growing crimes of our generation. It is a transnational, global phenomenon having impact on all countries of the world, including Kenya, which is a source, transit and destination country. It is a prevalent human rights abuse perpetrated mostly against women and children who are often trafficked for sexual and labour exploitation.

Our anti-trafficking work revolves around vindicating the rights of victims and survivors of human trafficking and ensuring their access to legal remedies.

Our team has extensive anti-trafficking experience with specialist expertise on the protection and protection of the rights of victims of trafficking including instituting cases to access civil remedies and claims for damages, claims in tort against traffickers, judicial reviews of failures to investigate and prosecute, inquests, safe repatriation, public law challenges in relation to accessing remedies in relation to assistance outlined in the Counter Trafficking in Persons Act and other remedies in international law.
